Activision Blizzard: Financial Results Q4 2020


Today, Activision Blizzard, inc. ($ATVI) announced the financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2020 (period from October 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020) with better-than-expected Q4 and Full Year results.

According to official statement, Bobby Kotick, Activision Blizzard CEO, said: “In a year filled with adversity our extraordinary employees were determined to provide connection and joy to our 400 million players around the world. They accomplished this as well as generating record financial results for our shareholders. Under difficult circumstances, but with the same conviction and focus, they will continue to do so in 2021.”.

The success of Call of Duty with access of over 128 million monthly users per month marks a new record for the franchise due to the premium and free-to-play experience between the different platforms with a double revenue compared to the previous year.

  • Call of Duty sales increased 40% YoY with strong digital content influence

The results of KING are still positive with a strong influence of mobile games in United States market

  • 250 millions monthly active users during the fourth quarter
  • Candy Crush was once again the top grossing franchise
    in the U.S. app stores
